Steak n Veggie Kabobs with Cheese Sauce

Grilling in the middle of winter? Yes we do! If you’re not crazy about grilling in the winter and have one of those indoor counter grills, it’ll do the job.

I think the best thing I like about this recipe is the cheese. My inner fat kid loves the bread on these. Dipping the toasted gilled bread into the melted gooey cheese is so good! I always buy extra bread and veggies. I don’t always want to eat meat, so having the extra mushrooms and peppers are perfect.

You’ll want to prep all your kabob items prior to adding them to the kabob stick. It really helps with getting the kabobs knocked out quickly. After prep, you’ll get everything placed on the kabob sticks. I don’t really have a particular order when putting the veggies, steak, and bread on the sticks.

If you are cooking all of your kabobs on the outdoor grill, be mindful of the heat inside the grill. We don’t let the grill get hotter than 350 degrees F. Travis likes to cook these on the top rack to keep the bread from burning. Don’t forget your tongs and a clean pan for the cooked food.

For inside grilling on a stovetop grill, be sure to oil the grill before placing your kabobs. You’ll want to cook at a 350 degree F temperature for 6 to 8 minutes on each side. I always let the grill get hot before I placed the kabobs on there.

This is usually one of our summer recipes, but I think we are both not really for the cold winter weather. Let me know if you try this one in the comments. I would love to know what you tried differently.
