This was a fun recipe to make and just serve for a nice brunch. This isn’t something I would make often just because of the time it takes to make it. I make my homemade white gravy with the left-over bacon grease for the sauce on the pizza. The packaged white gravy works just as well and takes less time to make. It is worth a try for those mornings you have time to make something yummy for breakfast.
Breakfast Pizza
Servings: 0
Equipment
- 1 10×15 large baking sheet
Ingredients
- 13.8 oz tube of refrigerated pizza crust
- 2 cups cooked white gravy
- 8 eggs
- 1 pkg bacon
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 tbsp butter
- salt & pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 425°F. Spray the large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
- Spread the pizza crust into the pan and stretch out the dough to the edges. Brush the crust with 2 tbsp melted butter and poke holes into the crust with a fork.
- Bake the crust for about 7 minutes on the middle rack just until it's lightly brown.
- While crust is baking, make up the eggs. In a medium size bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt & pepper until well combined.
- Preheat a frying pan on low to medium heat. Add a tbsp of butter to the pan and once melted, pour in egg mixture. Gently scramble the eggs until soft and fluffy. Turn off the heat and set eggs aside.
- Make up gravy per the directions on the package for the sauce on the pizza. You'll also want to make sure your bacon is cooked up and cut into pieces.
- When the crust is ready, pull it out of the oven and spread the gravy on top of crust.
- Top the pizza with eggs, bacon and cheese. Please the pizza back in the oven for 5 – 7 minutes until everything is warm and cheese is melted.
- Slice your pizza up and serve warm!
